A short Tuesday report. Noel seems to have reached a sort of plateau since last week. Pain is not currently an issue – she consistently reports little to no pain (zero or 1 on a scale of 1 to 10) – but dizziness and nausea persist. Some pleasant surprises as well – she has eaten some each day – today a fruit smoothie Luke made, Sunday some “cactus” quesadilla, and often some fruit of some sort. Recently she asked for a calendar so that she can see what has been and know what is coming, and last Friday she said she should get her hair done, so her hair dresser is coming today. In addition to all the family who are, or have been, here she has also had some nice (and very short) visits from some neighbors and close friends. All in all, some small pleasures.
Clark and Noel, you are the boys are in my prayers. May you be filled with courage and the consolation of being together. Love and prayers to all, Leon

Wonderful News. Hugs and Prayers
Praying in Vermont as well. No pain, eating, and a hair appointment – such wonderful news. Thank you Clark for the updates. Ann, you remain amazing! Love, Rozann and Jim
So very good to have a positive update on Noel, thank you Clark for taking the time to keep all of us “followers” updated. I often find myself thinking of the fun times we have had together, including the trip to see a St Johns football game (in the cold rain), the kayak trip at La Jolla Shores that saw me looking like a drowned rat while Noel contined to be dry and beautiful, and our dinner with you in San Rafael last year..or was it two years ago?! Noel and I took the nicest walk in the neighborhood and down to the bay. Please remind her she has so many friends with wonderful memories that are keeping her close in our prayers and hearts.
This “pleasant surprise” email, which it indeed was, came to me via Noreen, who doesn’t have my email, but sent it to a friend of mine who sent it on to me. Checking my email doesn’t get done in a timely manner, so this is a late response. I join all of the above in sending my love and my prayer and my gratitude for your pain free days, eating some, getting your hair done (hope you liked how it was done).
Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayer often and always, with great gratitude for your “small pleasures”. May they continue, in a variety of ways. Your picture at the top of the email is wonderful, so “you”… Brings back many happy memories, Noel. Your admiring high school English teacher–and friend, Sister Leo Therese then, Mary Lou now.
Annie and Clark. Thank you for the update. You are all in my prayers. God bless you!
